Northern Command "Summer Adventure Camp" culminates at Dalhousie (H.P)

A Summer Adventure Camp 2022 was organised for the children by Northern Command from 20 - 25 June 2022 at Dalhousie (H.P). The children of age group 15-18 years enthusiastically participated in a series of exciting adventure activities during the adventure camp.

Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, GOC-in-C Northern Command interacted with the children during an impressive closing ceremony at the culmination of the camp. The closing ceremony included enthusiastic cultural performances by the participants and felicitations to the children for the stellar performers in various events.

The Northern Command Summer Adventure Camp was to organised on theme, Learn, Create, Play and Fun which helped the children to grow, develop and practice the principles of togetherness and self-reliance. The camp was structured in a manner to inculcate independent decision-making; social and emotional skills, teamwork and leadership. In this camp, children from across the country got together and bonded over during the camp.

Interacting with the children, Lt Gen & Mrs Dwivedi emphasised that such events bring to fore the love for outdoor life and adventure activities, instrumental towards the overall development of children and making them worthy citizens of the country.

The last day of the summer adventure camp was dedicated to instill the spirit of camaraderie and team spirit with all four houses participating in various competitions. Children with their high adrenaline levels participated in obstacle crossing, paintball shooting, archery and number of events with agility, toughness and high spirits. In addition a musical camp fire was organized to make the last day more memorable one.

With fond memories and strengthened bonds of friendship, the children bid farewell to their fellow participants and returned to their homes metamorphosed into confident and responsible citizens of the country.
